Mineral (Auction) Amendment Rules, 2024

According to the Mineral (Auction) Amendment Rules, 2024, a bidder shall submit only one bid in an auction of a mineral block and no affiliate of a bidder shall submit another one in the same auction. An affiliate has been defined as a person (or company) controlled by another bidder in the auction To minimize anti-competitive practices, the new norms bar corporate affiliates from bidding for the same mineral block. The rules define an affiliate as an entity controlled by another bidder for that specific auction. Any affiliate bids made will also be publicly disclosed to ensure level playing field.

Man Singh won gold at the 2024 Asian Marathon Championships in Hong Kong

India’s Man Singh claimed the gold medal at the Asian Marathon Championships 2024 with a personal best timing of two hours, 14 minutes and 19 seconds (2:14:19) in Hong Kong, China on Sunday. The 34-year-old Indian marathon runner comfortably beat runner-up Huang Yongzheng of the People’s Republic of China with a time difference of 65 seconds in the men’s event. Kyrgyzstan’s Tiapkin Ilya came third in 2:18:18.

Amit Shah Launches Book ‘Assam’s Braveheart Lachit Barphukan

 The book "Assam's Braveheart Lachit Barphukan" has been published by the State government in English language and translated in 24 Scheduled Indian languages.

PM Modi said the scheme would not only reduce the electricity bill of the poor and middle class but would also make India self-reliant in the energy sector.
