Gabriel Attal: France’s New Prime Minister

France’s youngest prime minister, son of privilege, is known for his ability to think on his feet. French President Emmanuel Macron sparked a cabinet shakeup this week by naming popular Minister of Education Gabriel Attal as the country’s newest Prime Minister after incumbent PM Elisabeth Borne resigned amid growing political challenges. At just 34 years old, the former government spokesperson becomes France’s youngest head of government in modern history – tasked with injecting new vigor into Macron’s embattled administration.

ACC appoints Aruna Nayar as Secretary to Railway Board in IRMS

Aruna Nayar, an Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS) officer of 1987 batch and level-16 empanelled IRMS officer, has been appointed as Secretary of Railway Board. The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) on January 5 appointed her as Secretary of Railway Board in IRMS level-16. Nayar is also the first IRPS officer to be empanelled in IRMS in level-16.

Yogyasree' scheme for SC/ST students launched in West Bengal

  • West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee launched a new social welfare scheme "Yogyasree", offering free training for SC and ST students preparing for competitive exams. Fifty centers across the state will provide free training specifically for government job and civil service aspirants, bolstering equal opportunity efforts.
